Presentation

GRDR - Migration-Citizenship-Development is an international solidarity association, under French law, established in the Senegal River basin and in France for fifty years. Since its creation in 1969, GRDR - Migration-Citizenship-Development ", has been supporting initiatives led by migrants and their partners in the territories along migration routes: West Africa (Mali, Mauritania, Senegal, Guinea Bissau), North Africa (Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia) and Europe (France, Italy, Spain).

Our objectives :

  • To promote citizenship and dignity for all, including migrants, in West Africa, Maghreb, France and Europe; To promote human mobility as a means of sharing, exchange, openness and progress;
  • To contribute to the territorial development of the territories where GRDR operates in West Africa and Maghreb while protecting the environment and natural resources;
  • To encourage Social and Solidarity Economy and the equitable redistribution of wealth so that local development benefits the most disadvantaged;
  • To produce and share knowledge to provide local and national decision-makers with the information and tools they need.

With over 30 years of experience in supporting entrepreneurship among African diaspora communities (Senegal River Basin and Maghreb), GRDR is currently offering support to entrepreneurship in the framework of ongoing programmes (PAISD 3, Meet Africa 2, PluriElles). The capitalisation of past and current experiences allows it to refine its support methodology adapted to this specific target group on both shores (double area).
