GIZ has more than 50 years of experience in a wide range of fields, from economic and employment promotion to energy and environmental issues and peace and security. Its activity volume amounts to approximately 3.3 billion euros.  

As a federal public utility, GIZ supports the German government, in particular the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development, as well as a large number of public and private clients in 120 countries, in achieving their international cooperation goals.  Together with its partners, GIZ develops effective solutions that open up opportunities for people and improve their living conditions in a sustainable manner.
