With Choose Africa, AFD Group (Agence Française de Développement and its private sector subsidiary Proparco) is providing African start-ups, VSEs and SMEs with all of its tools to finance and support them at various stages of their development, particularly through local partners supported by the Group.

This offer provides access to Financing and access to credit for VSEs/SMEs:

  • Loans from local partner financial institutions (banks, microfinance institutions, leasing firms);
  • Guarantees to financial institutions lending to VSEs, SMEs.  

Capital investments in start-ups and SMEs:

  • Through partner investment funds;
  • Directly.  

Assisting and supporting the ecosystem in order to :  

  • Develop incubator networks;
  • Support funds and financial institutions that assist VSEs and SMEs;
  • Encourage innovation and competitiveness of small businesses.
