We are looking for passionate and determined entrepreneurs. Your business must show evidence that it can generate significant growth after proof of concept. It is vital that your business model does not require too much investment or many employees before it is profitable.

Our investment decisions are based on 4 main criteria: The team and its founder; The product/service - there must be a minimum MVP and the PMF must be validated (post-revenue); The market size - internationalisation ambitions are preferred; The 'differentiators' - elements of competitive advantage.

Ivoire Angels' ambition is to provide a solution to the recurring problem of the lack of financing for start-ups and high-potential SMEs in West Africa, particularly in French-speaking countries, in order to foster prosperity, create jobs and strengthen the local investment ecosystem. Our services include, but are not limited to, for entrepreneurs: - technical support to prepare for pre-seed and seed fundraising and for investors investment and co-investment opportunities by :

  •  Investing in innovative startups with high growth potential at the pre-seed and seed stage to boost their growth and make them attractive for subsequent financing;
  • Investing in early-stage and growing SMEs whose business model clearly incorporates growth ambitions (geographical expansion, franchising, etc.);
  • Co-investing in large-scale risk mitigated projects (PPP, state grant/FI/DFI, with integrated technical assistance) in Côte d'Ivoire and West Africa, especially French-speaking;
  • Investing or co-investing in the implementation of innovations developed elsewhere in Africa, Europe and America on the Ivorian market (matchmaking, investors and local CEO, Ivoire Angels would not take care of the operationalisation)

1. File submission;

2. First call/meeting with the entrepreneur if the file matches our eligibility criteria;

3. File selection for presentation to business angels; Mini due diligence review Preliminary term sheet Sending of the one-pager Teaser to the network to gauge interest

4. First 8 min pitch to angel investors;

5. Second 2h pitch to members interested in the project only (3-5 days later);

6. If members have expressed interest in investing, the process continues with due diligence;

7. Negotiation and signing of the final term sheet;

8. Investment;

9. Portfolio management (deal monitoring, strategic advice, matchmaking, etc.).
